Museum of Totalitarianism Uherské Hradiště
At the end of 2025 Jana Vodickova & All Things Studio won an international competition to design the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Totalitarianism, a new memorial museum in the former prison of Uherské Hradiště in the Czech Republic.
The project aims to create a powerful space of memory, telling the story of oppression and resistance under both Nazi and Communist regimes. Our designs combine a dedicated introductory gallery with careful interventions in the former cells, using a range of interventions to sensitively communicate a sense of the site’s history and continuing relevance.
